Halogen vs. HID vs. LED
At Premium Car LED, we understand you have a lot of options when it comes to automotive lighting. There are several competing technologies, but they’re far from being identical. We believe you’ll find our LED automotive lighting solutions outstanding for your lighting needs, even when compared against other options like halogen and HID lights.
Halogen is an older technology, and it’s time has long past. Halogen bulbs suffer from a number of drawbacks, including short lifespan, limited light emission and high power consumption. In addition, installation can be tricky – even the oils on your skin can shorten the bulb’s lifespan if you inadvertently touch the glass during installation.
HID technology is newer than halogen, but it’s still been around for a long time. It suffers from some of the same drawbacks as halogen technology, but brings even more problems to the table. While HIDs certainly produce plenty of light emission, they do so at the expense of massive power consumption. They’re also prohibitively expensive and require extensive modifications to install if your vehicle was not equipped with HID lights from the manufacturer.
LED automotive lights are affordable and feature very low power consumption. Our LED lights create plenty of light emission, and they’re available in a range of colors and styles to ensure you get the custom look and feel you want. LED is also superior in terms of lifespan – 50,000 hours of use far exceeds any other automotive lighting technology.
The choice is clear – LED automotive lighting.
